CAREER OBJECTIVE:

I am searching for a full time permanent position as a Senior Web Developer or Manager, ideally in a high paced, deadline driven, MBO, E-Commerce related environment.

HOW I STARTED IN DEVELOPMENT:

My personal programming experience started in 1977 using interpreted BASIC. I created many programs over the years including a Dungeons and Dragons Player Creator in 1982 that used a text file based database system I built to store armor, weapons and spells data. In 1985, my senior year in high school, I was contracted by my high school to build a Yearbook Sales Tracking System, which was successfully completed and utilized. My senior physics project was to write Rocket Launch and Guidance Software that tracked and steered an imaginary rocket, controlling the thrust vector to counter gravity as it followed a predetermined flight path into orbit. In high school I attended a semester in ForTran, and attended a college course in MiniTAB using a punch card based mainframe system.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:

I enjoy playing guitar, and have a small "digital recording studio" set up at home with a MIDI keyboard, drum machine, microphones and a multitrack recorder. I also play the Viola. My other interests are computer gaming, especially online multiplayer games like Everquest and Unreal. We occasionally have LAN parties at my home where a dozen people network together to play multiplayer games. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter.
