Primary job responsibilities are to drive and implement core business initiatives using any technology needed to improve on-line unassisted sales. I have final authority and accountability for all publicly accessible areas of our site, and routinely interface with sales and product management staff to negotiate and manage what gets published on-line and what does not. I was hired into this position to manage a team of web developers, visual designers and copy writers, however due to the small size of the company I currently have no direct reports. As a result, virtually all my work here has been advanced web development using ASP, VB, SQL and HTML. Experience using HomeSite, Visual Source Safe, Visual Studio, SQL Server, IIS Server, Windows NT/2000 and Photoshop. 1996-Present, Web Developer and Owner, WebThunder Designs, Peterborough, NH This home based business is still operating, providing clients with a variety of Internet related services including web development, web maintenance, visual design and human interface. My current focus has been on ASP/HTML and Access database development for clients utilizing an ASP based shopping cart system that I build for WebRyders.com. This shopping cart system allows clients to add, modify and delete products in their "store" through an ASP back-end system, as well as retrieve sensitive order information such as credit card numbers through HTTPS on the back-end system. Experience using HomeSite, Visual Source Safe, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Access, IIS Server, PWS, Windows NT/2000 and Photoshop. 1999-2000, Web Integration Manager, PC Connection, Inc., Merrimack, NH Job responsibilities included managing a team of Web Designer/Analysts and Web Human Interface Designers (3 to 5 direct reports), management of projects through full life cycle including conceptual, functional specification, data specification, managing the project through teams of web developers, web designers, business analysts, visual designers, copy writers, product managers and DBAs in several departments to complete the work, managing testing and QA including test plans, and managing the functional deployment to the production web servers. Directed staff in web application architecture based on modular ASP designs to enhance reusability of the code, and reduce future maintenance costs. Conducted many interviews of Web Developers to fill open positions in my staff, hiring four and needing to manage two out of the organization. I always succeeded in achieving at least 90 to 95 percent of my MBO quarterly objectives which served to determine quarterly bonus awards. Experience using HomeSite, Visual Source Safe, IIS Server, Windows NT and Photoshop. 1998-1999, Web Designer/Analyst, PC Connection, Inc., Merrimack, NH Job responsibilities were purely web development in ASP, HTML and limited SQL. ASP work interfaced with existing or newly developed VB objects created by the IS department that interfaced directly with AS/400 and Oracle/SQL data servers. As the senior Web Designer/Analyst, I mentored new staff providing guidance and assistance in structured, modular coding techniques in ASP as well as developing and enforcing HTML coding standards to maintain full browser compatibility. Experience using HomeSite, Visual Source Safe, IIS Server, Windows NT and Photoshop. 1994-1998, Technical Consultant, PC Connection, Inc., Keene, NH Provided post-sales technical support to phone customers specializing in Windows NT Workstation/Server and Novell NetWare 3.12 including the installation, configuration and implementation of local area networks. I am an accomplished PC computer hardware, software and network installer and troubleshooter. Provided training to other technicians in the troubleshooting of computer systems including IRQ/DMA conflict resolution and teaching computer architecture including bus implementations ISA/EISA/MC/VLB/PCI/AGP. 1987-1994, Engineering Technician, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh, PA Job responsibilities included software development using BASIC (over a dozen applications, some of which are still in use today), providing general assistance to civil and electrical engineers, computer aided drafting and design using Intergraph and Generic CADD, computer technical support for more than 40 computer systems located in dozens of field offices across Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia. I received four commendations from the Department of the Army for my service including Sustained Superior Performance awards, and an award for developing the Project Estimate Program, a tool used by the engineers to estimate the cost of a major lock and dam renovation project. This software used text based databases that I built to store information such as personnel salaries, discipline based labor costs, physical plant operating costs, per diem, burden and overhead. I also developed a Leave Abuse Tracking program which tracked over 100 employees to identify patterns of potential abuse of sick leave and other unscheduled leave.
